"Rafa Benitez believes Fernando Torres is proving why Liverpool paid a record transfer fee to bring him from Spain last summer.
The Reds endured an evening of frustration against Fulham on Saturday until the Spain international broke the deadlock on 81 minutes. "
He has already proved that in his 1st match at Anfield at Chelsea. Just give him more time to adapt! He'll be another Ian Rush cum Robbie Fowler!

"Yossi Benayoun will be out for three weeks after a scan revealed an adductor tear. "
Crap! He'll miss the Newcastle and Porto games! But at least he'll be back against Man Utd ;)

"Javier Mascherano has once again spoken of his desire to stay at Liverpool so he can form a long-term partnership with "one of the best players in the world". "
Hehe! All Liverpool players are loyal! Mascherano is better than any other midfielders partnering Gerrard! Besides Alonso, he can defend and attack! Although he is not very good in the air due to his height but his quick and only 23-years of age!

"Rafael Benitez is hoping Fernando Torres' exclusion from the latest Spanish squad will give his star striker the chance to ensure he's ready to start at Newcastle next weekend.
Rafael Benitez believes Alvaro Arbeloa's impressive form this season deserves recognition at international level. Arbeloa is just one of a few first team players left behind at Melwood this week as another international exodus sees players flying out all over Europe to represent their countries in Euro 2008 qualifiers. "
Thats good news! And Alvaro Arbeloa too! Newcastle isnt easy meat! But if their clown defender Cacapa plays and Torres & Crouch spearheads the attack, we're bound to win! :D

"Rafa Benitez has told Liverpool fans to expect more assists from goalkeeper cum playmaker Pepe Reina.
The Reds boss wasn't at all surprised to see his Spanish stopper set up Fernando Torres for the opener on Saturday – because he sees it every day in training. Benitez claims such skills are the hallmark of a truly world-class number one. "
Agreed. Goalkeepers are to only keep the ball out of the net, but World-Class keepers are to not only keep the ball out of the net, but to also assist strikers with their long balls, especially with the pace of Torres, this combo seems good!

"Pepe Reina has insisted Rafael Benitez is the manager to lead Liverpool to Premier League glory."
I always knew Gerrard Houlier wasnt the man, but Rafa is! 1st season at Liverpool? UCL Throphy? Beat that.

"John Arne Riise has vowed to rediscover his best form after admitting he hasn't yet reached his usual high standards this season."
Yeah.... His attempts on goal are far too disappointing... Hope he rediscovers his form! Powerful left foot! I have powerful right foot! Thats why i chose my jersey to be No. 6!
